A temporary Lead Pharmacy Technician position is available to support an inpatient behavioral health facility specializing in adolescent and adult care. This role is perfect for a skilled pharmacy technician with leadership abilities, ready to manage medication distribution and inventory within a dedicated clinical setting. The contract begins July 27th, covering 40 hours per week Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no weekend shifts required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill medication orders and deliver medications to medication rooms.
  • Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including receiving daily warehouse shipments and reconciling invoices.
  • Review and process medication recalls and assist with medication room audits.
  • Support the pharmacist with various operational tasks to ensure smooth pharmacy functions.
  • Participate in a two-day hospital orientation followed by on-site pharmacist-led training.
  • Adapt to upcoming Omnicell automation implementation, with training provided as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Arkansas pharmacy technician license.
  • National certification preferred.
  • Experience in inpatient or retail pharmacy settings.
  • Familiarity with HCS order entry system is a plus, though training is available.
  • Ability to work effectively in an adolescent and adult behavioral health environment.

Additional Details:

  • Dress code includes business casual or scrubs in any color except blue.
  • The facility employs 1.2 full-time pharmacist equivalents.
  • Local candidates preferred; mileage and lodging arrangements may be reviewed if relocation is required.
  • This is a contract position until the permanent lead technician role is filled.
