Serve as a Temporary Lead Technician supporting a behavioral health pharmacy specializing in adolescent and adult care. This contract position in Fayetteville, AR offers a vital role within a focused pharmacy team, providing key medication management and operational support Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. No weekend shifts are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill medication orders and deliver medications to medication rooms
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, including receiving warehouse orders and reconciling invoices
  • Review and process recalls carefully to ensure patient safety
  • Assist in medication room audits and perform other tasks to support the pharmacist
  • Participate in mandatory 2-day hospital orientation followed by in-pharmacy training with the Director of Pharmacy or pharmacist
  • Adapt to evolving technology, including utilizing the HCS order entry system and supporting upcoming Omnicell automation installation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Arkansas pharmacy technician license in good standing
  • National certification as a pharmacy technician preferred
  • Inpatient or retail technician experience highly valued
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently multitask within a dynamic clinical environment

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • No weekend or holiday coverage required

Additional Details:

  • Business casual attire or scrubs in any color except blue (to differentiate from patient attire)
  • Local candidates are preferred; non-local candidates may have mileage and lodging expenses considered

This is a contract assignment covering approximately 40 hours per week starting July 27th until the permanent position is filled.
