Pharmacy Technician | Flemington, New Jersey

A Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available within an inpatient hospital setting, supporting the Department of Pharmaceutical Services under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves technical support including the labeling, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products across all patient populations, ranging from neonates to geriatrics.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately preparing and dispensing medications following established protocols.
• Utilizing Pyxis and Omnicell software systems for medication management.
• Participating in weekend rotations as scheduled.
• Ensuring adherence to safety and sterile compounding procedures.
• Collaborating with pharmacists and healthcare staff to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NJ Pharmacy Technician license, or ability to obtain promptly.
• National Certification from PTCB or NHA.
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient experience, including intravenous (IV) medication preparation.
• IV/Sterile Compounding certification preferred.

Location:

• Flemington, NJ, approximately one hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City.

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts based on departmental needs.
• Weekend rotations required as scheduled.
