Support pharmaceutical care as a Pharmacy Technician in a dynamic inpatient hospital setting near Flemington, NJ—about an hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City. Working directly under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will play a vital role in preparing and dispensing medications across all patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Responsibilities:
- Label, prepare, dispense, and distribute pharmaceutical products accurately and efficiently
- Use pharmacy automation systems, including Pyxis and Omnicell, to manage inventory and medication dispensing
- Participate in weekend rotations and variable afternoon shifts as scheduled by department needs
- Assist with sterile compounding and IV preparation processes following established protocols
- Support adherence to safety and quality standards in all technical pharmacy operations
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid New Jersey Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain promptly
- National Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
- Sterile Compounding and IV Certification preferred
Schedule:
- Full-time, permanent position
