Support pharmaceutical care as a Pharmacy Technician in a dynamic inpatient hospital setting near Flemington, NJ—about an hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City. Working directly under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will play a vital role in preparing and dispensing medications across all patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Label, prepare, dispense, and distribute pharmaceutical products accurately and efficiently
  • Use pharmacy automation systems, including Pyxis and Omnicell, to manage inventory and medication dispensing
  • Participate in weekend rotations and variable afternoon shifts as scheduled by department needs
  • Assist with sterile compounding and IV preparation processes following established protocols
  • Support adherence to safety and quality standards in all technical pharmacy operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid New Jersey Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain promptly
  • National Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
  • Sterile Compounding and IV Certification preferred

Schedule:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Variable days and afternoon shifts
  • Required weekend rotations as scheduled
