An opportunity is available for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support a specialized AIDS/HIV retail pharmacy located in the Fort Lauderdale area. This contract-to-hire position offers an engaging environment where respect and discretion are paramount while serving a sensitive patient population.
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Oakland Park area)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Flexibility to work Saturdays is required
Position Type: 13-week contract with potential for hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including prescription data entry and dispensing
- Provide high-quality patient care and support with sensitivity to the unique needs of the AIDS/HIV community
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy team members
- Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by identifying and proactively addressing workflow needs
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong teamwork spirit during high-volume periods
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with HIV/AIDS medications is essential; please ensure this experience is clearly documented in your resume
- Ability to navigate QS1 pharmacy software (training provided for the software itself; must be tech-savvy)
- Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
