Pharmacy Technician - Fort Lauderdale, FL

A specialty pharmacy in the Fort Lauderdale area is seeking two Pharmacy Technicians to join their team supporting an AIDS/HIV patient population. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with a start date ASAP and a 13-week initial assignment.

Location:

• Oakland Park, FL (Fort Lauderdale area)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Flexibility to work Saturdays is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy technician duties such as data entry and medication dispensing with accuracy and attention to detail
• Support a sensitive patient population with respect, empathy, and professionalism
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care
• Stay proactive by identifying needs within the pharmacy and assisting wherever needed to maintain smooth operations
• Maintain effective communication within the team and with patients

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Experience working with HIV/AIDS medications is essential—candidates must clearly highlight this on their resume
• Pharmacy Technician license in Florida required; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
• Proficiency with pharmacy software; experience with QS1 is a bonus, though training will be provided
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and an ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Dependable and punctual with a commitment to being present for every shift
