Pharmacy Technician in Fort Lauderdale, FL

An established AIDS/HIV specialty pharmacy in the Fort Lauderdale area is seeking two Pharmacy Technicians to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position requires professionals who can provide exceptional patient care and support, particularly for a sensitive patient population. The role involves working flexible pharmacy hours, including Saturdays, in a respectful and non-judgmental environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Oakland Park Area)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties such as data entry and dispensing medications.
• Provide compassionate and high-quality support to patients.
• Communicate effectively with providers and team members.
• Utilize pharmacy intuition to identify and address workflow needs proactively.
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate strong teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in high-volume retail pharmacy.
• Familiarity with HIV/AIDS medications is essential; candidates must explicitly document this experience on their resume.
• Florida Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Software proficiency is necessary; familiarity with QS1 is preferred, with training available for the right candidate.
