Pharmacy Technician in Franklin, TN

A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking two certified pharmacy technicians registered with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy for a 13-week contract role with potential temp-to-hire opportunity. This position involves working at a fast-paced pharmacy processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, utilizing the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system without automation.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• In a customer service role: Verify shipping information, enter new patient details, and update patient profile information accurately within the pharmacy software.
• In a dispensing role: Fill and dispense medications according to prescription orders with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient and accurate prescription processing.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy is required.
• PTCB certification is mandatory for candidates considered for permanent placement.
• Experience in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
