A specialized pharmacy technician opportunity is available in a Nashville suburb, supporting a mail order renal specialty pharmacy that fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This contract role offers a 13-week assignment with potential to transition into a temp-to-hire position, providing a chance for long-term career growth in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Schedule options:
- Day shift: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Evening shift: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- ASAP start
Key responsibilities include:
- Working either in a customer service or dispensing technician role
- For customer service: verifying shipping details, entering new patient information, and updating patient profiles in the pharmacy software
- For dispensing: accurately filling and dispensing medications
- Utilizing Wellsky pharmacy order entry system (no automation)
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Experience with mail order or specialty pharmacy operations highly beneficial
- Proficiency using pharmacy software such as Wellsky or similar systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high prescription volumes
- Excellent communication skills to assist with patient and shipping inquiries
