Pharmacy Technician | Freeport, Illinois

An exciting opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in PSR and Billing within a long-term care mail order environment. This position offers a temp-to-direct hire path, providing stability and growth potential in a supportive setting using the QS1 computer system.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacy Service Representative (PSR) duties including patient interaction and support.
• Handle billing processes and insurance verification to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, pharmacists, and patients to facilitate the best medication coverage.
• Maintain accurate data entry and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to support daily operations and customer service excellence.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Pharmacy technician experience with a focus on billing and data entry.
• Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and patients.
• Familiarity with QS1 or similar pharmacy computer systems preferred.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Rotating Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
