A highly respected children’s hospital in Northern California is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support their inpatient pharmacy team. This travel opportunity offers a chance to contribute to the care of pediatric patients in a well-established 300-bed hospital known for exceptional healthcare standards and the use of EPIC software.
Location: Fremont, CA (with opportunities in the Palo Alto area)
Schedule: Variable days and afternoons, 8-hour shifts
Assignment Type: Travel position, with potential for temp-to-hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately for inpatient pediatric patients
- Collaborate with pharmacists and medical staff to ensure safe and timely medication distribution
- Utilize EPIC pharmacy software for order verification, medication tracking, and documentation
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Support clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and medication safety
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician with hospital inpatient experience
- Familiarity with pediatric pharmacy practices highly valued
- Experience using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- PGY1 residency training background or similar experience preferred, reflecting a commitment to high performance as typically sought by top-tier health systems
