Pharmacy Technician in Fremont, CA

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available for a contract assignment supporting a special project in the Bay Area. This role offers an immediate start and is ideal for those looking to earn quickly by working a defined short-term schedule.

Location: Bay Area, CA (Union City vicinity)

Duration: ASAP start through 5/31
Schedule Options:

• Four days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Six evenings, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Prepackage medications for dispensing according to regulatory standards and guidelines
• Assist Pharmacists by preparing medications for final checking and packaging after review
• Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of prescribed medications to customers
• Maintain inventory by receiving, rotating stock, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and supporting physical inventory counts
• Support a clean and safe work environment by ensuring equipment is calibrated, clean, and safe for operation
• Collaborate with Technician Supervisors to uphold pharmacy safety and quality standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, valid California Pharmacy Technician license (license in-hand required)
• Experience in prescription filling and medication prepackaging within a pharmacy setting
• Ability to work efficiently under supervision while maintaining accuracy
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and quality management
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards in a pharmacy environment

This contract role does not involve IV preparation and focuses on fulfillment tasks. It provides a solid opportunity for pharmacy technicians looking to contribute to a significant project in a dynamic pharmacy setting.
