A critical role is available for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in inpatient hospital pharmacy operations. This position focuses on supporting overnight shifts within a hospital setting, providing essential pharmaceutical services to ensure patient safety and effective medication management.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Location: Fremont, OH
- Shift: 7 on, 7 off (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM), typically Thursday through Thursday
- Contract duration: 13 weeks with potential opportunity for direct hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter medication orders using Meditech system
- Manage medication dispensing and inventory control utilizing Pyxis automation system
- Prepare sterile compounded medications adhering to established protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with clinical staff to verify and fulfill medication orders promptly and accurately
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Ohio
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT)
- Proven experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy environment
- Proficient in sterile compounding techniques and safety procedures
- Hands-on experience with Pyxis medication automation system
