A specialized opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with inpatient hospital experience to contribute in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role requires expertise in sterile compounding and proficiency with Pyxis automation systems. The work environment is inpatient hospital-based, supporting patient care through accurate medication preparation and distribution.

Location:

  • Fremont, OH

Schedule:

  • 7 days on, 7 days off (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Typically Thursday through Thursday shifts
  • 13-week contract with potential for direct hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sterile compounding adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols
  • Utilize Pyxis automation systems for medication dispensing
  • Accurately enter orders into the Meditech system ensuring timely medication preparation and delivery
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and healthcare staff to support inpatient medication needs
  • Maintain compliance with state and national pharmacy regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license
  • National Pharmacy Technician certification required
  • Inpatient pharmacy experience with strong knowledge of sterile compounding practices
  • Hands-on experience with Pyxis automation system
  • Familiarity with Meditech order entry system is preferred
