Pharmacy Technician - Gardena, CA

Provide specialized pharmaceutical support as a Pharmacy Technician in a dynamic inpatient hospital setting in Gardena, CA. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IVs, IV piggybacks (IVPBs), and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) formulations precisely and safely.
• Fill and manage medications in Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets.
• Deliver medications promptly to various nursing units within the facility.
• Answer telephones, responding to medication requests and inquiries professionally.
• Utilize the Allscripts/Paragon order entry system accurately for medication orders.
• Support pharmacy operations in maintaining compliance and timely medication distribution.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proven inpatient pharmacy technician experience is required.
• Proficiency in making IVs and filling Pyxis automated cabinets.
• Familiarity with Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems preferred.
• Ability to manage variable day and afternoon shifts reliably.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Current pharmacy technician licensure in good standing.

Location: Gardena, California – Inpatient hospital environment with licensed beds of 173 and an average daily census of 140 patients.
