Retail Pharmacy Technician | Garland, Texas

Support the safe and effective dispensing of medications as a Pharmacy Technician within a specialized pharmacy setting attached to a behavioral health hospital. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity in Plano, TX, with a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, starting November 23rd. The position requires working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an average daily script count of 350-400.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense behavioral health medications in a closed-door pharmacy setting
• Utilize Enterprise RX software (training provided)
• Collaborate with one staff pharmacist and pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Manage prescription intake and patient interactions via phone and in-person
• Maintain adherence to regulatory and safety policies
• Support inventory control and pharmacy record keeping

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)
• 1+ years of retail pharmacy technician experience (2+ preferred)
• Direct patient interaction experience, including phone and in-person communication (required)
• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and reliability in daily responsibilities

This contract-to-hire position offers competitive hourly pay ranging between $20 and $22 based on experience and qualifications.
