A specialty pharmacy is seeking experienced Pharmacists with expertise in specialty pharmacy settings to support patients with rare and orphan diseases. This is a contract opportunity with the potential for direct hire, offering a Monday through Friday day shift schedule.

Location:

  • Gilbert, AZ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage dispensing of rare/orphan drugs to patients with complex disease states.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and patients to facilitate drug approvals and navigate reimbursement processes.
  • Utilize clinical knowledge and strong communication skills to provide comprehensive patient support.
  • Work within specialty pharmacy workflow using McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system.
  • Assist patients and providers in accessing payment assistance programs, grants, rebates, and other financial resources.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and clear Arizona pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Specific specialty pharmacy experience is required—candidates with only retail pharmacy experience dispensing specialty medications will not be considered.
  • Background in designated specialty retail and/or specialty mail order pharmacy preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with rare disease states and orphan drugs.
  • Strong clinical acumen combined with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in coordinating high-touch communication between providers and patients.

Contract Details:

  • Immediate start
  • 13-week duration with contract-to-hire option available
  • Monday through Friday, day shifts
