This direct hire opportunity seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in both Virginia and Maryland to serve as a traveling liaison for pharmacy services across multiple healthcare facilities throughout these states. The role primarily involves traveling to assigned facilities, including locations in Alexandria, Fairfax, Richmond, and select Maryland locations, to ensure high-quality medication management and client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between pharmacy services and facility leadership and staff, fostering strong working relationships.
- Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and support medication therapy and compliance efforts in collaboration with clinical services and pharmacy operations leadership.
- Conduct training sessions and educational programs for facility personnel on pharmacy systems, medication safety, and compliance.
- Perform monthly onsite visits including medication room inspections, medication pass observations, and survey preparations.
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and new product introductions tailored to client needs.
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal pharmacy teams to facilitate seamless service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses for both Virginia and Maryland are required.
- PTCB certification is highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks is desirable.
- Reliable transportation for travel across assigned territories; willingness to accommodate overnight stays as needed.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with occasional flexibility required for audits or late-day visits.
- Travel throughout facilities in Virginia and Maryland, with mileage and accommodations covered by the employer.
