Pharmacy Technician in Glendale, AZ

A retail pharmacy technician position is available under a 13-week contract-to-hire arrangement in Glendale, AZ, with a focus on providing efficient and accurate pharmacy support in a high-quality retail setting. This role is an immediate backfill opportunity for a team utilizing the Pioneer Rx system, working alongside one registered pharmacist and three technicians. The pharmacy handles fewer than 100 prescriptions per day, offering a manageable volume for focused patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate data entry tasks to ensure patient and prescription information is up-to-date.
• Communicate effectively with patients and physicians’ offices regarding prescriptions and medication details.
• Fill and dispense medications according to provider prescriptions while verifying patient allergies to ensure safety.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, adhering to organizational policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service to support patient satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current, clear, and active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as a pharmacy technician in a retail environment is required.
• Familiarity with the Pioneer Rx system is a plus.

Schedule and Location:

• Glendale, AZ
• First shift: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
