An experienced pharmacy technician role is available in Glendale, AZ, focused on supporting a busy retail and mail-order pharmacy setting. This contract position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-established mail meds operation, with potential to transition to permanent employment for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling high-volume data entry and dispensing duties
- Serving retail walk-in customers while primarily supporting mail order medication preparation and delivery
- Maintaining efficiency and accuracy throughout the workday
- Demonstrating proactive pharmacy intuition by identifying workflow needs and assisting team members
- Standing for the entire shift and adhering to stringent safety and operational standards
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Friday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment—candidates without recent high-volume retail experience will not be considered
- Experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is highly valued; please ensure this is clearly documented on your resume
- AZ Pharmacy Technician license or PTCB certification required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality with a positive, professional attitude
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software preferred, though not mandatory
