Pharmacy Technician - Glendale, AZ

A retail pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented pharmacy technician to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position is based in Glendale, AZ, and offers a consistent schedule with first shift hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The pharmacy utilizes the Pioneer Rx system and handles a prescription volume of fewer than 100 scripts daily, supported by a staff of one pharmacist and three technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform data entry related to pharmacy operations.
• Contact patients and physician offices to facilitate prescription processing.
• Fill and dispense medications prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring thorough verification of any patient allergies prior to dispensing.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in alignment with organizational policies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to maintain patient satisfaction.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona.
• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience, demonstrating familiarity with retail pharmacy workflow and patient care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy team.
