A retail pharmacy technician opportunity is available on a contract-to-hire basis in the Phoenix, AZ area. This position supports a team consisting of one pharmacist and three technicians, managing a daily prescription volume of under 100. The ideal candidate will have a proven retail background and hold an active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license.

Location:

  • Phoenix, AZ (Glendale vicinity)

Schedule:

  • 1st shift
  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter prescription data into the Pioneer Rx system
  • Communicate with patients and physicians’ offices by phone to clarify prescriptions and other medication-related inquiries
  • Fill and dispense medications in accordance with provider prescriptions, ensuring verification of patient allergies prior to dispensing
  • Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, following organizational policies and procedures
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to support patient satisfaction and pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

  • Active and clear Arizona Pharmacy Technician license required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication dispensing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members

This 13-week contract-to-hire assignment offers the opportunity to demonstrate expertise in a retail pharmacy setting and seamlessly transition to a longer-term role. The position requires reliability, a customer-focused approach, and dedication to safe medication practices.
