Pharmacy Technician in Glendale, AZ

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician role based in Glendale, AZ, operating within a retail pharmacy setting. The position begins as a 13-week contract to hire, offering a chance to transition into a permanent role based on performance.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter data into pharmacy systems to maintain patient and prescription records
• Communicate with patients and physicians to clarify prescriptions and resolve issues
• Fill and dispense medications as prescribed, ensuring verification of patient allergies prior to dispensing
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally while adhering to organizational policies
• Deliver exemplary customer service to all pharmacy patrons

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, clear Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience specifically in retail pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx system is a plus but not required

Work Environment:

• The pharmacy team consists of one pharmacist and three pharmacy technicians
• The daily prescription volume is under 100 scripts, allowing for focused, quality patient interaction
