A leading oncology practice in Southern California is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician with sterile compounding experience to support outpatient oncology clinics and on-site pharmacies. This role involves preparing chemotherapy admixtures and other sterile products, ensuring the highest standards of safety and precision in care for cancer patients. The position requires travel flexibility to cover multiple clinic locations within the San Fernando region, including Santa Clarita, Glendale, and Northridge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sterile compounding of chemotherapy admixtures and related pharmaceutical preparations in an outpatient oncology setting
- Maintain compliance with USP <797> standards and institutional protocols for sterile product preparation
- Assist pharmacists in medication dispensing, inventory management, and quality control processes
- Support multiple clinic locations with timely and accurate pharmacy services
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal medication therapy
Qualifications and Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician certification and licensure as required by the state
- Proven experience with sterile compounding in an oncology or hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, safety protocols, and chemotherapy handling standards
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to various clinic locations throughout the San Fernando region
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Schedule:
- Full-Time, Monday through Thursday
- Day shift only
