Pharmacy Technician | Goodfellow Afb, Texas

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacy Technician located in Goodfellow AFB, TX. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations through precise medication preparation and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies following established policies and state regulations.
• Accurately compound and prepare prescriptions, ensuring correct dosages by performing pharmaceutical calculations.
• Properly label and package medications for distribution.
• Identify, document, and report any medication-related incidents to maintain patient safety.
• Clean and sanitize pharmacy work areas and equipment, including laminar flow hoods.
• Inspect pharmacy tools and equipment, reporting any defects or malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain pharmacy temperature logs and cleaning records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support general pharmacy organization and ensure compliance with internal policies.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• IV Certification is required.
