Pharmacy Technician | Grand Rapids, Michigan

A retail pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations with a focus on accuracy and customer service. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity in a structured retail environment, utilizing Pioneer RX computer systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting
• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and inventory management
• Provide excellent customer service, answering patient queries and ensuring satisfaction
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards
• Support daily pharmacy operations during assigned shifts

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8.5-hour shifts
• Rotating start times of 7:30 am, 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:30 am
• Pharmacy closes at 6:00 pm on Fridays
• Initially no weekend shifts; weekend work may be required in the future

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license is required
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail environment
• Familiarity with the Pioneer RX system is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible rotating start times as scheduled

Compensation:

• Starting pay is $21 per hour
