Provide essential support to a retail pharmacy team in a role designed for individuals seeking per diem hours with a flexible schedule. This position is ideal for a licensed Pharmacy Technician who prefers part-time or PRN commitments, offering consistent hours every schedule and accommodating personal availability.

Location:

  • Greensburg, IN (Southeast of Indianapolis)
  • Retail/Outpatient Hospital setting

Schedule:

  • Per diem with 2-3 days every two weeks
  • First shift hours, typically 9 AM to 5 PM, 10 AM to 6 PM, or 11 AM to 7 PM
  • Monday through Friday, flexible scheduling to fit your needs

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, including measuring, mixing, counting, labeling, and recording dosages
  • Type, adjudicate, and file both new and refill prescriptions, handling insurance claims and rejections
  • Manage inventory by removing outdated medications and handling uncollected prescriptions
  • Perform cashier duties and provide customer service such as running the cash register, balancing it, answering phones, filing prescriptions, and assisting with over-the-counter purchases following pharmacist direction
  • Check voicemails and support overall pharmacy operations as needed

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Indiana
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred
  • Recent pharmacy technician experience is required
  • Familiarity with PioneerRX pharmacy system preferred, training available
  • Strong team player with excellent customer service skills
