A healthcare facility on California’s Central Coast is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support their Infusion Center, an integral part of a larger health system. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday day-shift schedule and is ideal for candidates with inpatient or infusion experience looking for a short-term assignment of approximately eight weeks to cover a leave of absence. There is potential for this position to transition to permanent employment, contingent on organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists by accurately preparing and dispensing medications, particularly infusion therapies
- Manage medication inventory and ensure proper storage practices are maintained
- Coordinate with healthcare team members to support patient care plans and medication administration
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in the pharmacy setting
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license
- PGY-1 residency or a minimum of one year pharmacy technician experience in inpatient or infusion environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work full-time during standard day shifts, Monday to Friday
