A dynamic Pharmacy Technician role is available for a professional with valid Virginia and Maryland Pharmacy Technician licenses to support multiple healthcare facilities throughout these states. This position offers the opportunity to serve as a vital liaison between pharmacy operations and a diverse range of long-term care facilities, supporting medication management, compliance, and customer success in a travel-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with facility leadership and staff, serving as the primary contact for assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with clinical and pharmacy teams to provide guidance on medication therapy and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Address client inquiries promptly and identify opportunities for service expansion.
- Conduct training sessions for facility personnel on pharmacy systems and operational protocols.
- Provide regular onsite visits with reporting to enhance customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
- Perform medication cart and room inspections, medication pass observations, and assist with survey preparation.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses in both Virginia and Maryland.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care settings and familiarity with pharmacy/medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Reliable transportation with willingness for travel within the assigned territory, including potential overnight stays.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, primarily 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Occasional flexibility for late-day audits may be necessary.
- Approximately 40 hours per week; weekend work is rare.
This direct-hire opportunity requires a motivated, organized individual comfortable with travel throughout multiple locations in Maryland and Virginia. Mileage and lodging expenses related to travel will be covered.
