This opportunity is ideal for a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in both Virginia and Maryland seeking a direct hire role with a focus on travel and relationship management. The position requires regular travel throughout Virginia and Maryland to multiple healthcare facilities, acting as a key liaison between the pharmacy and onsite teams to ensure optimal medication management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with facility leadership and staff across assigned territories.
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on medication therapy and compliance.
- Collaborate with pharmacy operations and clinical services directors to support quality patient care.
- Conduct staff training sessions on pharmacy systems and new initiatives.
- Perform monthly onsite visits, including medication cart inspections, medication pass observations, and survey preparation.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and introduce new products.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses in Virginia and Maryland.
- Certification from PTCB highly preferred.
- Experience working in long-term care settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with pharmacy and medication distribution software (EMAR, Medbank, Frameworks preferred).
- Reliable transportation for travel across assigned territories; overnight stays may be required.
Schedule & Location:
- Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rare weekend work.
- Travel throughout various locations in Virginia including Alexandria, Hampton, Fairfax, Newport News, and Richmond, and select facilities in Maryland.
- Flexibility needed for occasional late-day audits.
