An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician at a well-established long-term care and intellectual developmental disorder (IDD) pharmacy site in the Hartford, CT area. This contract role is critical to supporting medication dispensing operations and requires immediate availability to start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare medication orders
- Blister pack medications for long-term care patients
- Label and package medications following pharmacy protocols
- Utilize the Frameworks system for processing orders and documentation
- Manage workflow efficiently to handle high prescription volume
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active, valid Connecticut Pharmacy Technician license is required
- Previous experience working in long-term care pharmacy preferred; retail pharmacy experience considered for candidates ready to handle volume quickly
- Proficiency with pharmacy systems and attention to detail is essential
- Ability to work an 8 AM to 6 PM shift, with flexibility to start early or extend later within those hours
- Strong organizational skills and reliability to meet urgent staffing needs
