Pharmacy Technician in Hayward, CA

Support the pharmacy operations at a leading children’s hospital in Northern California as a Pharmacy Technician. This contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic healthcare environment serving pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
• Assist with inventory management, including medication stocking and expiration checks
• Operate pharmacy-related software, including EPIC, to process medication orders and maintain records
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use for pediatric patients
• Adhere to hospital policies and compliance standards regarding medication safety and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with current state licensure
• Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy, preferably in a pediatric setting
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
