This opportunity is perfect for a Certified Pharmacy Technician with licenses in both Virginia and Maryland who thrives in a dynamic travel role. The position focuses on serving as the primary liaison between pharmacy services and multiple healthcare facilities throughout Maryland and Virginia. As a vital link, you will foster strong relationships with facility leadership and staff, ensuring high-quality medication management and compliance.
Responsibilities include conducting monthly onsite visits, training facility staff, and collaborating with clinical and pharmacy operations teams to deliver seamless pharmacy services. You will also play a key role in survey preparation, medication room inspections, and medication pass observations. Flexibility for occasional later-day audits and overnight stays is required.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers across assigned facilities
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
- Provide guidance on medication therapy and regulatory compliance
- Conduct training sessions on pharmacy systems and medication processes
- Perform medication cart inspections and support survey preparation
- Collaborate internally to ensure cohesive pharmacy service delivery
- Travel regularly throughout Maryland and Virginia facilities
Required Qualifications:
- Valid pharmacy technician licenses in Virginia and Maryland
- PTCB certification highly preferred
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings
- Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software (EMAR, Medbank, Frameworks preferred)
- Reliable transportation with flexibility for overnight travel
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Rare weekend work; occasional late shifts for audits
