Pharmacy Tech | Henrico, Virginia

An established healthcare system with multiple hospitals and home infusion sites is seeking an experienced IV/Infusion pharmacy technician to support growth in their home infusion service line. This opportunity is a 13-week contract to hire, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Location: Henrico, VA
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IVs, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPNs), and other sterile compounded medications under a licensed pharmacist’s supervision
• Maintain strict quality assurance standards in compliance with departmental protocols and legal requirements
• Provide training and mentorship to new pharmacy technician employees as needed
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes
• Perform other pharmacy technician duties related to sterile compounding as assigned

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of strong IV/infusion pharmacy technician experience, including TPNs and antibiotic preparations
• Experience in a home infusion setting highly preferred; inpatient IV experience will also be considered
• Valid VA pharmacy technician license and national certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC pharmacy systems
