Pharmacy Technician in Henrico, VA

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with expertise in IV/Infusion to support the expansion of a home infusion service line within a prominent healthcare system serving Virginia and North Carolina. This contract-to-hire role is based in Henrico, VA, offering a Monday through Friday day shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IVs, TPNs, and other sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision following strict quality assurance protocols.
• Maintain compliance with departmental and legal standards to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes.
• Assist with training new pharmacy technicians.
• Perform additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician tasks as assigned.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of robust IV/infusion experience, including TPNs and antibiotics preparation.
• Prior inpatient IV compounding experience is considered, though preference is given to candidates with home infusion background.
• Valid Virginia pharmacy technician license.
• National certification as a pharmacy technician.
• Familiarity with EPIC pharmacy system.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shift.
