Pharmacy Technician | Hialeah, Florida

A growing specialty pharmacy team seeks two dedicated pharmacy technicians for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the Ft. Lauderdale area. This role supports an AIDS/HIV specialty pharmacy, demanding a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach while delivering exceptional patient care and support.

Location: Oakland Park, FL (Ft. Lauderdale area)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (flexibility required to work Saturdays)
  Contract Duration: 13 weeks, contract to hire
  Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including data entry and dispensing medications
• Provide respectful and confidential support to a sensitive patient population affected by HIV/AIDS
• Maintain strong communication with providers and fellow pharmacy staff
• Exhibit pharmacy intuition by identifying workflow needs and proactively stepping in to assist
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of prescriptions, accuracy in data entry, and adherence to pharmacy protocols

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Experience with HIV/AIDS medications is essential and must be clearly detailed on your resume
• Licensed as a Florida Pharmacy Technician (PTCB certification is a plus but not required)
• Proficient with pharmacy software; experience with QS1 preferred, training available
• Strong teamwork mindset with excellent communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor in a specialty care environment
