Pharmacy Technician - Hialeah, FL

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available in Hialeah, FL, in a specialized HIV/AIDS retail pharmacy setting. This contract-to-hire role offers an engaging environment for candidates who thrive in high-volume settings and value respectful, non-judgmental patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including high-volume data entry
• Process prior authorizations (PAs)
• Dispense and fill prescriptions efficiently and accurately
• Maintain a positive and diligent work ethic in a fast-paced environment
• Provide respectful and compassionate support to patients in an HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy

Qualifications or Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Pharmacy technician license in Florida is required
• PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
• Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn Pioneer Rx software (training provided)
• Strong software aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and an empathetic approach to patient care
