A hospital pharmacy technician position is available for a 13-week inpatient assignment in Richland Center, WI. This role requires flexibility to work a rotating schedule with weekday and weekend shifts, providing essential support in medication management and sterile product preparation.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, either 8 or 10-hour shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM
- Every 4th weekend rotation with shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM on weekends
Key responsibilities include:
- Restocking Pyxis machines and checking for outdated medications
- Restocking medications, IVs, and supplies within the hospital pharmacy
- Entering charges accurately and handling ordering and receiving of drug shipments
- Monitoring storage temperatures to ensure medication safety
- Preparing sterile products and performing daily cleanroom maintenance
- Preparing chemotherapy treatments and supporting other assigned pharmacy tasks
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain promptly
- Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Knowledge of sterile product preparation and inventory management procedures
