Hospital Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient Assignment

A hospital inpatient pharmacy technician role is available for a 13-week contract assignment in Richland Center, WI. This position involves supporting medication dispensing and inventory management within a hospital pharmacy setting, playing a key role in patient care and medication safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restock Pyxis machines and check for expired medications
  • Restock medications, IV bags, and medical supplies efficiently
  • Enter medication charges accurately into the system
  • Order and receive drug shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor medication storage temperatures for safety standards
  • Prepare sterile products and chemotherapy under cleanroom conditions
  • Conduct daily cleaning in the cleanroom to maintain sterility
  • Perform other assigned duties supporting pharmacy operations

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: Flexible 8 or 10-hour shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM
  • Weekends: 7 AM to 3 PM every fourth weekend rotation
  • ASAP start available

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License or ability to obtain quickly
  • Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of sterile product preparation and chemotherapy protocols
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Location:

  • Assignment based in Richland Center, WI; flexibility to work varied shifts as needed
