Pharmacy Technician | Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico

Pharmacy Technicians are needed to support an inpatient hospital pharmacy serving a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute your pharmacy skills within a structured, fast-paced hospital setting.

Location:

• Hospital pharmacy located at Holloman Air Force Base, NM

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (rotating schedule, with work every 3rd weekend)

Compensation:

• Pharmacy Technician: $19 - $22 per hour
• Pharmacy Technician with IV Certification: $20 - $23 per hour
• Pharmacy Technician with Chemotherapy Experience: $23 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Manage inventory, including storage and proper handling of pharmaceuticals.
• Support medication compounding and sterile preparations as needed.
• Operate pharmacy technology systems and maintain documentation according to regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure safe medication practices.
• Follow hospital and federal policies, maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Pharmacy Technician certification or license in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Experience working in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings preferred.
• IV certification and chemotherapy experience strongly valued.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.
