Pharmacy Technician in Hollywood, FL

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available with a specialty AIDS/HIV pharmacy in the Ft. Lauderdale area, offering a 13-week contract with the potential for hire. This role requires flexibility to work the pharmacy’s hours, including Saturdays.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The position focuses on delivering respectful, non-judgmental support to a sensitive patient population. Typical duties include data entry, dispensing medications, and providing excellent patient care in a high-volume retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and perform data entry tasks
• Provide thoughtful, compassionate support to patients living with HIV/AIDS
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members
• Anticipate and proactively address pharmacy needs to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Experience with HIV/AIDS drug therapies is essential and must be clearly indicated on your resume
• Florida pharmacy technician license required; PTCB certification is a plus
• Proficiency with QS1 software or ability to learn quickly is required
