Pharmacy Technician | Hollywood, Florida

An opportunity is available for skilled pharmacy technicians to support an AIDS/HIV specialty pharmacy serving a sensitive and high-need patient population. This role requires respect, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach while delivering top-tier patient care. The position begins ASAP as a 13-week contract to hire.

Responsibilities include typical retail pharmacy tasks such as data entry and dispensing medications. Candidates should be comfortable performing these duties in a high-volume environment and proactively identifying tasks to support workflow. Effective communication with patients and healthcare providers is essential. Familiarity with HIV/AIDS medications is a must and should be clearly indicated on your resume.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (flexibility required)

Location: Oakland Park, Florida (Ft. Lauderdale area)

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Florida Pharmacy Technician license required
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is a plus but not mandatory
• Software savvy, experience with QS1 preferred (training available)
• Demonstrated ability to provide high levels of patient support and maintain professional communication
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to take initiative in daily pharmacy operations
• Dependable, punctual, and possessing a positive, proactive attitude
