Pharmacy Technician | Homestead, Florida

An opportunity is available for two skilled pharmacy technicians to join a specialized AIDS/HIV pharmacy team in Homestead, FL. This contract-to-hire role offers the chance to contribute to a compassionate, patient-focused environment serving a sensitive population.

Location: Homestead, FL

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (flexibility to work Saturdays required)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential to transition to permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including accurate data entry and prescription dispensing
• Maintain respectful, nonjudgmental support for patients in an AIDS/HIV specialty pharmacy
• Actively communicate with patients and healthcare providers to support medication adherence and patient care
• Anticipate workflow needs and provide proactive assistance to ensure smooth pharmacy operations

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment required
• Familiarity with HIV/AIDS medications is essential—please highlight this clearly on your resume
• Pharmacy Technician license in Florida; PTCB certification is advantageous but not mandatory
• Comfortable and capable with pharmacy software systems; experience with QS1 is preferred but candidates willing to train will be considered
