Join as a Certified Pharmacy Technician to enhance access to specialty medications at a dynamic specialty pharmacy clinic in Rockville, MD. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to work closely with specialty care clinics, supporting patients and their caregivers by streamlining specialty pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete prior authorizations efficiently and accurately
• Source financial assistance programs to support patients
• Process pharmacy claims and coordinate medication dispensing and shipping
• Serve as a vital liaison among patients, providers, and pharmacists to enhance the patient experience
• Provide administrative support including assisting providers with appeals letters
• Help build and refine workflows and processes within a start-up specialty pharmacy environment

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with current state registration and national certification (CPhT)
• Prior outpatient or retail specialty pharmacy experience required; infusion experience is a plus
• Proficient in managing specialty medication benefits investigations, prior authorizations, and financial assistance
• Comfort engaging with patients and healthcare providers both in-person and remotely
• Familiarity with specialty medications used in autoimmune, endocrinology, and oncology
• Experience with pharmacy software; knowledge of EMR systems (EPIC, Cerner, NextGen) or specialty pharmacy platforms (Therigy, Asembia1, ScriptMed) is advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for preparing appeals and coordinating care
• Ability to travel to client sites approximately 10-15% of the time
• Collaborative mindset with a professional and friendly communication style
