A well-established mail order specialty pharmacy in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire role. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a direct hire, supporting a dynamic pharmacy team focused on delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.

This role begins with day shift hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) to provide a smooth onboarding experience and will transition to the 2nd shift (12:30 PM – 9:00 PM) once evening pharmacists are hired. There is also a possibility of working weekends to support peak workflow periods.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Initial Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Transition to 2nd Shift: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Possible weekend hours

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently processing high-volume prescriptions in a mail order/specialty pharmacy environment
  • Coordinating with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and customers to ensure seamless medication delivery
  • Maintaining adherence to regulatory compliance and safety standards
  • Inventory management and documentation to support pharmacy operations
  • Demonstrating reliability and consistent performance in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license
  • Minimum of 2 years current or very recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Proven background in high-volume retail or mail order pharmacy operations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to reliability
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
