Pharmacy Technician in Indianapolis, IN

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Technician seeking a dynamic role in a mail order and specialty pharmacy environment. The position involves a contract-to-hire engagement, providing the chance to transition into a permanent role after 26 weeks. The work setting demands reliability and a strong background in pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately in a high-volume mail order and specialty pharmacy setting.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper labeling and packaging of medications.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Support pharmacy operations during the transition from day shift to second shift, collaborating closely with pharmacists.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements at all times.

Shift & Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, second shift (12:30 pm - 9:00 pm), with potential weekend hours.
• Initial assignment will be on day shift (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) before transitioning to evenings following pharmacist scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years current or very recent pharmacy technician experience.
• Proven experience in high-volume retail or mail order pharmacy settings.
• Active Indiana pharmacy technician license.
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
