Pharmacy Technician - Irvine, California

A contract opportunity is available for Pharmacy Technicians to support a closed-door mail order pharmacy specializing in long-term care (LTC). This role focuses primarily on two data entry technician positions with updated schedules and requires candidates who are detail-oriented and experienced in pharmacy workflows. The pharmacy values candidates with a strong commitment to long-term employment due to recent turnover.

Location: Irvine, CA

Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform data entry tasks related to prescription orders and pharmacy operations
• Utilize various EMR systems and software frameworks to update patient and prescription information
• Assist with sterile compounding and IV tech duties if experienced, though primarily focused on data entry
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy protocols and regulatory requirements
• Adapt to rotating weekend schedules, supporting pharmacy operations on Saturdays and Sundays
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and fulfill technical support needs

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician license required; new grads are welcomed if committed to long-term employment
• Prior experience with multiple EMR systems is highly preferred
• Familiarity with sterile compounding IV technician tasks is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry accuracy
• Ability to work rotating weekends as schedules require
• Reliable and consistent work attendance is critical

Schedule:

• Data Entry Tech 1: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, rotating days off monthly (Sun/Mon off one month; Wed/Thurs off the next)
• Data Entry Tech 2: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday
