A specialty infusion pharmacy in Orange County is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations. This contract role offers an ASAP start with a 13-week duration and potential to transition into a permanent position. Scheduled for Monday through Friday day shifts, this role requires strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Input patient demographics and insurance details, type prescription labels, process medication refills, and submit billing claims and authorization requests.
  • Label and package injectable medications, ancillary supplies, and oral/topical medications according to patient orders.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, coordinate logistics, and confirm deliveries with patients.
  • Reconcile shipments against packing slips; receive and unpack medications accurately.
  • Perform routine daily and monthly cleaning and disinfection of the IV room following USP <797> standards and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service through verbal, written, and in-person communication.
  • Support 340B program integrity and assist with other pharmacy operations tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Pharmacy Technician license is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital, ambulatory care, or infusion pharmacy setting.
  • Experience handling IV preparations and procedures.
  • Local candidates preferred to ensure timely onboarding and integration.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Location: Irvine, CA (Orange County area)
