Pharmacy Technician - Irvine, CA

A specialty infusion pharmacy in Orange County is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This contract opportunity offers an immediate start with a 13-week duration and potential to transition to a permanent role. The position operates Monday through Friday during day shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Inputting patient demographics and insurance details, processing refills, typing prescription labels, and managing billing claims and authorization requests
• Labeling and packaging injectable medications, ancillary supplies, and oral/topical medications per patient orders
• Preparing shipping documentation, coordinating shipments, and confirming deliveries with patients
• Reconciling shipments against packing slips, receiving and unpacking medications
• Performing routine cleaning and disinfection of the IV room in compliance with USP <797> and company protocols
• Delivering exceptional customer service via verbal, written, and in-person communication
• Supporting 340B program integrity alongside other pharmacy operational duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital, ambulatory care, or infusion pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with IV preparations and procedures
• Local candidates preferred to facilitate quick onboarding
