A pharmacy technician opportunity is available within a specialized closed-door pharmacy supporting a behavioral health hospital setting. This role requires reliability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment dispensing primarily behavioral health medications.

Location:

  • Local to Irving, TX area
  • Facility address: 7304 Alma Drive, Plano, TX 75025

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacist with prescription processing and medication dispensing (350-400 scripts daily)
  • Utilize Enterprise RX software (training provided)
  • Support pharmacy operations within a behavioral hospital, focusing exclusively on behavioral health medications
  • Follow established workflows to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  • Uphold pharmacy policies, maintaining a professional and patient-focused approach
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff including 1 pharmacist and 2 technicians to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience; 2 years preferred
  • Previous retail pharmacy experience is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability are critical
  • Professionalism and a positive attitude when working with behavioral health medications and patient needs
