Pharmacy Technician | Irving, Texas

An immediate opening is available for a Pharmacy Technician at a specialized AIDS/HIV community health pharmacy in Arlington, TX. This contract role begins ASAP on April 6 and spans approximately 13 weeks. The shift schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This position requires working within an AIDS/HIV specialty pharmacy environment, demanding a respectful and nonjudgmental approach to patient interactions. The technician will perform typical retail pharmacy duties including accurate data entry and medication dispensing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications following established protocols
• Maintaining accurate patient and prescription records
• Communicating effectively with patients, providing supportive and compassionate service
• Navigating pharmacy software systems, primarily QS1

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting
• Prior experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications is essential
• Strong patient communication skills with sensitivity to the community served
• Licensed as a Texas Pharmacy Technician; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
• Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is preferred
• Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable
