Pharmacy Tech - Irving, Texas

A specialized opportunity for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician is available in Irving, TX, offering a contract-to-hire engagement. This role is critical in supporting pharmacy operations with an emphasis on sterile compounding and infusion preparations, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile compounded medications following established protocols.
• Rotate between pharmacy prep tasks and mixing in the cleanroom environment.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately once every eight weeks, covering from the end of the Saturday shift until 8 AM Monday.
• Follow all safety and regulatory guidelines while performing sterile compounding.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow and ensure timely medication preparation.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License.
• Sterile Compounding Certification required.
• PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sterile compounding.
• Proven infusion experience is essential.

Location:

• Irving, TX

Schedule:

• Tuesday-Friday: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call rotation every 8th weekend
