Pharmacy Technician | Irving, Texas

A pharmacy technician role is available in a closed-door pharmacy that specializes in behavioral health medications within a behavioral hospital setting. This position offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is a contract-to-hire opportunity for local candidates in Irving, TX.

This pharmacy supports the hospital’s medication needs through streamlined, high-volume workflows and automation, processing 350-400 prescriptions daily. The environment is fast paced and requires reliability and professionalism due to previous challenges with team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and process prescriptions focused exclusively on behavioral health medications
• Utilize Enterprise RX software (training provided)
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy protocols and regulatory requirements
• Support a small pharmacy team consisting of one pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians
• Efficiently manage workflow in a high-volume, fast-paced setting without administering vaccines
• Collaborate within a closed-door pharmacy environment connected but separate from the hospital clinic

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Texas Pharmacy Technician license (required)
• At least 1+ years of recent retail pharmacy technician experience, with preference for 2+ years
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
• Dependable and reliable work ethic essential
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
