An IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician role is available at a leading outpatient oncology infusion center in Canton, GA. This position involves preparing and administering chemotherapy and hematology treatments in a specialized infusion setting, supporting patients with cancer and blood disorders. The role requires a high level of precision and expertise in IV therapy and oncology pharmacy procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments according to established protocols
  • Perform IV starts and access implanted ports for infusion therapy
  • Collaborate closely with oncology healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment administration and medication handling
  • Follow stringent safety and sterility standards specific to chemotherapy handling
  • Provide compassionate support to patients undergoing infusion treatments

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings
  • Certified IV/ Chemo Pharmacy Technician
  • Active Georgia pharmacy license required
  • Strong skills in IV therapy, including implanted port access
  • Knowledge of chemotherapy preparation and outpatient oncology infusion procedures

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Contract Details:

  • Duration: Approximately 13 weeks
  • Location: Outpatient infusion center in Canton, GA
  • Note: Candidates residing within 50 miles of the site will not be considered
