An opportunity is available for an IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician specializing in outpatient oncology infusion services. This 13-week contract role supports a cancer specialist infusion center in Atlanta, GA, requiring a candidate located outside a 50-mile radius of the city.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in oncology/infusion pharmacy settings
- Certification and proficiency in chemotherapy preparation and administration
- Strong IV skills including implanted port access
- Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license
- Previous experience in an outpatient oncology infusion center preferred
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and administering chemotherapy and select hematology treatments (excluding blood transfusions)
- Managing IV starts and accessing implanted ports for patients
- Adhering to strict safety and compliance standards within the infusion center
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Candidates living within 50 miles of Atlanta will not be considered due to travel radius restrictions. This role is ideal for candidates who can relocate or travel beyond this radius.
