A healthcare facility in Atlanta, GA is seeking a skilled IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician to support their outpatient oncology infusion center. This contract opportunity is ideal for a pharmacy professional with experience in oncology and infusion services, particularly in administering chemotherapy treatments.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Location:

  • Atlanta, Georgia (Note: Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible for this opportunity.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer chemotherapy and related hematology treatments within an outpatient oncology infusion center.
  • Utilize IV start skills and safely access implanted ports.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards in chemotherapy preparation and administration.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology and infusion pharmacy settings.
  • Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • Certification in chemotherapy preparation and administration.
  • Proficiency in IV start techniques and implanted port access.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Additional Information:

  • This assignment begins on March 23 and spans 13 weeks.
  • Blood transfusions are not part of this role.
  • Candidates must provide an updated resume, skills checklist, two professional pharmacy references, a copy of their Georgia license, and proof of chemotherapy certification if applicable.
