An IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician position is available at an outpatient oncology infusion center specializing in chemotherapy and hematology treatments. This contract role lasts 13 weeks with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Location: Canton, GA (Please note: local candidates within 50 miles are not being considered.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments following strict protocols.
- Manage IV starts including accessing implanted ports.
- Support oncology infusion operations with attention to safety and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a sterile environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings.
- IV Certified with chemo certification specifically for outpatient oncology infusion.
- Valid Georgia pharmacy technician license required.
- Proficient in IV start techniques and accessing implanted ports.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM throughout the 13-week assignment.
