A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with IV infusion certification in Baldwinsville, NY. This role supports clinical pharmacy services and sterile compounding for infusion therapies under the guidance of a pharmacist, adhering to state sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in preparing injectable and oral medications critical to home infusion therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile intravenous (IV) medications according to USP 797 and USP 800 standards as well as state Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
  • Manage call and shipment schedules to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
  • Collect, document, and communicate clinical information among pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams.
  • Accurately enter prescription and patient data into pharmacy software within regulatory scope.
  • Clean and maintain the pharmacy cleanroom per company policies and BOP guidelines.
  • Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain licensure by fulfilling continuing education and re-credentialing requirements.
  • Handle receipt, storage, picking, and packaging of medications and supplies for shipment.
  • Participate in inventory control and formulary management.
  • Obtain additional state licensure as needed to support branch operations.

Qualifications:

  • Current NY State Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification in good standing.
  • Minimum one year of experience in an infusion pharmacy setting preferred; hospital IV technician experience considered.
  • Working knowledge of sterile compounding regulations and USP standards.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems such as CareTend.
