Experienced IV/Infusion/Chemo Pharmacy Technician (Contract – Boston, MA)

An opportunity is available for a skilled IV Certified Pharmacy Technician to support oncology and infusion pharmacy operations within a hospital setting. This contract role is crucial for delivering high-quality patient care through the accurate preparation and delivery of medications in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver medications, with a focus on non-hazardous sterile compounding
  • Support oncology and infusion pharmacy functions, including medication delivery to infusion clinics and ambulatory units
  • Assist with Pyxis medication management and deliveries to various hospital units
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacy and clinical staff to maintain workflow and patient safety
  • Maintain adherence to all safety, regulatory, and quality standards related to sterile compounding and medication handling

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts pharmacy technician license
  • National pharmacy technician certification with IV/infusion and chemotherapy compounding expertise
  • Previous experience working in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings
  • Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures and safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Location and Schedule:

  • Based in Boston, MA
  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM, with some rotating Saturdays
  • 13-week contract starting March 2nd
