Experienced IV/Infusion/Chemo Pharmacy Technician (Contract – Boston, MA)
An opportunity is available for a skilled IV Certified Pharmacy Technician to support oncology and infusion pharmacy operations within a hospital setting. This contract role is crucial for delivering high-quality patient care through the accurate preparation and delivery of medications in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver medications, with a focus on non-hazardous sterile compounding
- Support oncology and infusion pharmacy functions, including medication delivery to infusion clinics and ambulatory units
- Assist with Pyxis medication management and deliveries to various hospital units
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy and clinical staff to maintain workflow and patient safety
- Maintain adherence to all safety, regulatory, and quality standards related to sterile compounding and medication handling
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts pharmacy technician license
- National pharmacy technician certification with IV/infusion and chemotherapy compounding expertise
- Previous experience working in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Location and Schedule:
- Based in Boston, MA
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM, with some rotating Saturdays
- 13-week contract starting March 2nd
