An opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacy Technician with IV certification to support an outpatient oncology infusion center in Canton, GA. This assignment is a 13-week contract role requiring specialization in chemotherapy preparation and administration within a cancer treatment setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments in the outpatient oncology infusion center.
- Perform intravenous starts and access implanted ports with precision and care.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements specific to chemotherapy handling.
- Collaborate closely with oncology healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings.
- Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license.
- Current IV certification with proven skills in IV starts and implanted port access.
- Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and outpatient infusion procedures.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills to engage with patients and medical staff.
